The aim of the specialization is to prepare HR specialists and professional managerial staff for personnel matters in enterprises and public organizations. Graduates will gain knowledge and skills in all areas of the HR process (planning and selection of personnel, assessment, motivating, professional development of employees), examining professional competences, including personal predispositions to the profession. They are getting ready to build professional competency and talent management systems. In addition, students have the opportunity to improve their own psychosocial skills, especially in the area of ​​interpersonal communication and self-diagnosis of personality predispositions.

Characteristics of the specialization

  • This specialization shapes the skills of professional, systemic perception of phenomena and processes in the area of ​​people management.
  • The specialization transmits knowledge and key skills for direct use in very different organizations (the feeling of acquiring "tangible" and at the same time very universal skills).
  • The programme introduces you to management problems sequentially and methodically uses the skills previously acquired by the student to solve problems of increasing complexity.
  • The programme, while retaining its academic qualities, is very practical, which results both from the rich practical experience of the teachers and the use of interactive teaching methods.
  • The programme is oriented towards interdisciplinary learning outcomes taking into account, apart from classical management, psychological, economic and legal knowledge.

What knowledge and what skills will the student gain?

A student who chooses the 'Human Resource Management' specialization will enrich the interdisciplinary knowledge of management sciences with knowledge and skills relevant to the specialization:               

  • in the area of ​​knowledge - learn about the conditions and course of HRM processes, with particular emphasis on the HR process. Understand the importance of the personnel function in the organization. Become familiar with the most important labor law regulations.
  • in the area of ​​skills - he will learn how to create the human resources policy of the organization, taking into account its strategic goals and the requirements of the environment. Will be able to organize and conduct professional recruitment and selection of employees with the use of psychological tools. He will learn how to build incentive systems based on a rational wage policy. He will learn to use professional and adequate to the needs of the organization assessment systems and training programs. It will construct career advancement paths using the principles of competency management and talent management. He will be trained in effective communication and conflict management based on negotiation and mediation. It will improve the ethical attitude, self-awareness and emotional maturity.

What are the job opportunities for graduates of the specialization?

In-depth knowledge of human resource management can be used both in enterprises and public institutions. Graduates of this specialization are prepared to occupy the positions of HR specialists as well as HR advisors and consultants. They can create a coherent HR system in their own enterprise.

Graduates of Lazarski University's undergraduate (BA) and postgraduate (MA) programmes are exempt from the enrollment fee.
