The global IT market has grown by an average of 3.4% per year over the past 10 years, according to research by the analyst company Gartner. The IT industry also turned out to be extremely resistant to the economic problems caused by the pandemic in recent years. It is estimated that the coming years will be even better for the IT market, and the demand for specialists continues to grow. Enterprises, despite the difficulties, are now putting even more emphasis on the digitization of their activities, including as part of the so-called Industry 4.0. In Poland, the value of the IT sector is currently estimated at at least PLN 70-90 billion. The pace of development of the software and IT services market is characterized by an exceptionally dynamic pace of development, about 12% on an annual average, which is twice as high as the average for the Polish economy.
Due to the rapid development of the IT industry, the market is constantly under pressure to attract new qualified employees. The dynamic development of new technologies additionally drives the demand for IT specialists. According to estimates, in the coming years this market will continue to grow at a pace exceeding other sectors of the economy.
Studies in management in the industry with IT are a unique combination of elements such as: knowledge, risk and change management in the enterprise, Leadership and Team Bulding issues, as well as strategic management, communication and Digital Marketing.
The field of study is addressed to all people who plan to work in the IT industry in the future or already work in it, who want to organize and deepen their current knowledge. We put emphasis on the practical side of management to educate future IT managers or new entrepreneurs who will start their own business adventure in this demanding and competitive market.
As a student of 'Management in IT industry':

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:
Big Data and data analysis
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the subject of Big Data. Starting from defining the issues, through learning to collect and use data, to implementing the conclusions drawn from the analysis. Big Data is currently one of the most important and most frequently discussed topics regarding new technologies in business, with particular emphasis on the IT industry.

- Case Study of the use of Big Data in the development of IT business
Security of ICT systems
The aim of the course is to present students the issues of ensuring adequate security of ICT systems in the enterprise. Students will learn about practical examples of network security rules and their implementation, and the role of security systems administrator in the IT industry. They will also follow the history of the development of cyber threats and learn about the latest threats and ways to protect against them.

Strategic and operational management in IT industry
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the subject of strategic and operational management, especially distinguishing them from each other. Discussing their roles, available tools, planning long-term strategies, as well as consistency in decisions made between individual departments of the company in the IT industry.

- Planning the goals of the company's operations and ensuring the best possible conditions for achieving them

Building and managing teams in IT
The aim of the course will be to present a holistic approach to team management in the IT industry. The student will learn how to build a team from scratch, as well as how to adjust it to the changing market situation of the company or a specific implemented project. They will receive knowledge of dealing with difficulties within the team, crisis situations, and will also learn when and how the IT manager should refuse.

ERP systems and their role in a modern enterprise
The aim of this course is to discuss ERP systems as one of the most important tools for company management. Students will receive comprehensive knowledge of the operation of enterprise resource planning software. They will learn about current trends in ERP development, find out when it is worth investing in their own system and when to outsource it.
